About the Founder

Lindale Area Sports Complex LLC is wholly owned by Lindale Area Holdings LLC which is wholly owned by Dennis (Zack) Permenter.

Zack grew up near Overton Texas and graduated with Honors in 1998 from Winona ISD. His dad, Steve, was a longtime entrepreneur in construction and commercial maintenance where Zack spent most of his summers working and learning various trades. At 16 he started his first business in lawn care until passing that business on to his brothers when he left the Tyler area to attend Texas A&M University in Galveston Texas where he started his second business, DZP Drafting & Fabrication.

After moving back to the Tyler area in 2001, he won the contract to provide drafting and design services for the Goodyear tire plant in Tyler, Texas. In 2002 he finally married his high school sweetheart, Misty, then started learning and eventually teaching Seven-Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu in Tyler with Sifu Brandon Jones at Tyler Kung Fu and Fitness where he holds the rank of Jau Gow 5 (4th degree).

As the Goodyear plant started winding down, a friend (Michael R.) called him to come work for Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I) in the electrical design department. CB&I provided numerous opportunities to travel to industrial construction and operating plants around the world, gaining significant experience in the industry.

Zack and Misty moved to the Lindale area in 2014 so that they could raise their children in a rural area with an excellent school district. Speaking of children, they have 3 girls, each beautifully unique. The oldest is the brain, having graduated from Lindale #8 in her class in 2025 and is currently a junior at UT Tyler studying Psychology. The middle is the artist, a sophomore at Lindale High School and is a Twirler in the Band. The youngest is the athlete, in 8th grade at Lindale Junior High and plays Volleyball and Basketball.

In 2017 Michael called him again and in the desire to return to a smaller company, he joined Infinity Project Management (IPM) where he has managed designers of all disciplines as the company grew and currently manages the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls group. During his time at IPM he also started three additional companies, Permenter Holdings LLC, Permenter Lubrication and Permenter Apiary.

Since their two oldest daughters were/are in the Pride of Lindale Band, Zack and Misty traveled all over to watch and support the band, but it was with their youngest that they were first introduced to sports clubs and the travel it required. After talking to numerous parents in similar situations (Baseball, Cheer, Basketball, Volleyball, etc.), Zack realized that a large gap exists locally for practice and play in high caliber sports and as such the idea of LASC was born. In the same vein that “It takes a village to raise a child”, he realizes that it also will take a community to raise a sports complex.
